❁ Assalamualaikum ❁
Hi people! In this entry, we will going to talk about public transport in Turkey. Well, I am personally think that there must be public transport in each country. It doesn't assist the tourist, but it can ease the local residents' to move wherever they want as well. Furthermore, if I were the tourist, I would rather take a ride using their public transport compared to rent a private car or bike. It is because when we use their public transport, we get to meet and know on how the society of the country really behave. For instance, how they treat the customer, how fluent they can speak and explain to the tourist about some matters and so on. Plus, we can also be more close with the local people and indirectly make new friends from the other country! :) I really love the idea as we can truly feel the environment living in the foreign country.
Besides that, we are advised to take a public transport to reduce the traffic jam and what not. It is because in these days, people commonly use their own car, and this lead to more cars on the road, thus contributes to heavy traffic jam and air pollution. Well, this problem usually happens especially in the cities. The reason why I love taking public transport is, it is one of the ways to solve the problem by encouraging people to use public vehicles in stead of using their own car.
On the other hand, by using public transport can saves a lot of money. First of all, people don't need to buy their own cars, because believe me there is no car that is cheap nowadays. Hence, it is much money saving by just spend the money for bus tickets or taxis. Besides that, they do not have to worry on how much money to spend to fill the tank. Plus, they don't have to spend their time early in the morning before going to work to find a place for parking as well. In addition, using less own cars can save the environment and people's health too. It is because it can reduce the air pollution due to the carbon dioxide that released from the vehicles. As we already know, excessive carbon dioxide can harm our health, so if less carbon dioxide is released to the environment, we as the society do not have to breathe polluted air. Hence, there are several types of transportation provided in Turkey, which are:
+ Taxis & Shuttles
+ Trams
+ Mass Transportation System
+ Rail Services

TAXIS & SHUTTLES
Turkish's Taxis & Shuttles |
If you are in Istanbul, you can book a shuttle or a private transfer at a fixed price. It is well worth the money and you can avoid the scams taxi drivers try to cheat on you. The classic is - when the taxi has a meter, you need to keep an eye on his hands because the taxi driver can simply adjust the meter and will cost you more than the supposed rate. But don't worry, not all taxi drivers are like that. It is just a precaution thing that I want to share with you. Not only in Turkey, regardless of what country you've been or even in your own country, you need to be a wise passenger :) Most of the Turkish taxi drivers are very friendly and they tend to be so helpful in assisting you to be at your destination. The taxi drivers sometimes are being so friendly and talkative, they will talk about Turkey with you, the place to get best food, where is the beautiful place to visit and so on. Though certain of them can't speak English so well, but they can at least speak a simple English that surely you will understand what they are saying about.

Tram which is also called as tramcar is a rail vehicle which runs on tracks along the public urban streets. For your information, the lines or networks operated by tramcars are called tramways. The tramways are powered by electricity. This kind of transport is once called 'electric street railways'. Furthermore, the trams are widely used not only in Turkey but several countries as well. MASS TRANSPORTATION SYSTEM
Generally public transportation in Istanbul has a better improvement over the past few years. Most of the people still take taxis to commute to their destination. As I mentioned earlier, public transportation not only benefits to the local people only, yet it gives a lot of advantages to the tourist as well. Moreover, it is easier for the visitors to go sightseeing spot they wanted.

RAIL SERVICES
Turkey's high-speed rail |
This high-speed rail's function is slightly similar with the trams. Yet the advantages when you are taking this ride is you will get to reach to your desired destination is a short time. But as for me, the differences is maybe when you take a tram, you can see the outside view of the Turkey but when you take rails, you barely can enjoy the view as the rail is high-speed.
Ok, that's all for the types of transportation in Turkey. See you in the next entry! Till then, bye people ☺
