Hi everyone! We are going to look on the several types of entertainment in Turkey. In my opinion, entertainment is needed regardless where you live. It is not merely to entertain you but can also release your stress or even you can gain a lots of knowledge by having some entertainments. Generally, entertainment is the action providing or being provided with amusement or enjoyment. Moreover, it also can be considered as an event, performance, or activity to entertain others. In these days, we can say that Television as a major source of entertainment and learning for many people, especially the youth. There are a lots of television programmes such as commercials, news, documentaries, and cartoon. Furthermore, television is believed affecting the society of all ages in different ways. Research shows that youngsters hold a large group of society that spend a lot of time watching television. It does make sense because young people tend to be more attracted to things that is visualized. Majority of the youngsters get a lot of information and general knowledge when they watch television, yet some of the society believes that television is somehow disturbs the mindset of the youth.
That was one of the example of entertainment that is popular all around the world. Hence, Turkey as well. In fact, just like the other countries, Turkey has many other kind of entertainment. Such as:

I want to share one of the theater in Turkey and it is The International Istanbul Theater Festival. This theater is a biennial since 2001 and it was first held in 1989. Besides that, this international theater in Istanbul presents the finest examples of Turkish theater as well as internationally acclaimed theater companies and dance group. For example, Berliner Ensemble, Tanztheater Wuppertal and Royal National Theater. What is more interesting is that the festival are presenting plays by worldwide well-known directors like Robert Wilson, Theodoros Terzopoulos and Tadashi Sizuki. The entertainer is selected by the companies and they are presenting professionally and impressively. This International Istanbul Theater Festival brings both modern and traditional kind of shows to the audience.

There are numerous concerts held in Turkey and the most common place that those concerts took place is in Istanbul. Well, as I did mention, Istanbul is the first place to be in tourists' minds when they go to Turkey due to its modern population and the development of the city is following the current trend of the world. Hence, the performers across the world are usually prefer to throw a concert in Istanbul. Plus, the audience that attend the concert is so impressive. Turkey has plenty of drama series from different types that can fit all types of society for them to choose. For example, Magnificent Century, Ezel, Fatmagul'un Sucu Ne?, Forbidden Love, Karadayi, Intikam and many more. Besides that, this country also has reality TV shows. "Like many countries in the world, reality shows and game shows, such as 'Survivor', which just launched its ninth season in Turkey, are easily some of the most popular television programs among." (Ergil, 2015).
